Visakhapatnam, June 8 -- Eight workers were killed and nine others injured in a major industrial accident at the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (Visakhapatnam Steel Plant) here on Monday.
Official sources confirmed the death of 8 workers. As many as 9 others workers were injured, most of them critically.
The accident took place as a large quantity of Molten Steel/Iron Spilled at the plant's Steel Melt Shop (SMS-2) and associated facilities in the evening when many workers were working at the unit.
