Kurnool (Andhra) , April 16 -- In a ghastly road accident, eight people including five women and a girl, were killed and 13 were injured when a van collided with a concrete mixer lorry at Chilakaladona village of Mantralayam mandal in the district early Thursday.
Police said a group of people from Chimaglur in Karnataka state were going to Sri Raghavendra Swamy temple in Mantralaya in the van. The van collided with a concrete mixer lorry, killing five people instantaneously. Three died while being taken to hospital, police added.
The deceased were identified as Kumar (50), Deepika Veena (42), Sunil (40), Yashoda (60) Puttamma (55), Lakshmi (60) Meenakshi (46) and Belli (5). The injured were admitted to the GGH where the condition of two o...
