Vijayawada, July 4 -- South Coast Railway has achieved a significant engineering milestone in the ongoing rehabilitation of the historic 'Bow String Arch Railway Bridge', across the Godavari River at Rajahmundry by replacing 500 corroded hanger cables successfully.

Demonstrating exceptional international technical expertise and meticulous planning, 500 out of the total 672 corroded hanger cables have been successfully replaced, marking 74.4% completion of the critical rehabilitation work, while ensuring uninterrupted train operations, which is the first of its kind in Railways, a release stated.
