Mumbai, Aug. 20 -- Filmmakers Anubhav Sinha and Sudhir Mishra are coming together for a new film that will look at a lesser-known period in Mahatma Gandhi's life, with Manoj Bajpayee set to portray the Father of the Nation for the first time.

Directed by Mishra, the film will centre on 21 days during the final years of the freedom struggle, when Gandhi made the decision to leave Delhi even as the city was becoming the political centre of an independent India. Saurabh Shukla also plays a key role in the film.

Sinha is producing the film under his banner Benaras Media Works along with Narendra Hirawat. The movie is presented by NH Studios.
