Chennai, July 15 -- The Tamil Nadu police has achieve significant success in Anti-Drug Enforcement Operations with record contraband interdictions by adopting a multi-pronged strategy, Director General of Police/Head of Police Force K Mahesh Kumar Agarwal said today.
An official release here today said the Tamil Nadu Government has devised a comprehensive, multipronged strategy to systematically eliminate drug trafficking and substance abuse across the state. By combining aggressive enforcement, asset freezing, institutional upgrades, and community-driven demand reduction, the state has achieved record contraband interdictions in the first half of 2026.
