Shillong, Sept. 3 -- Another Khasi Students' union (KSU) activist, Samuel Kharbani, has been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Meghalaya Police probing the violence during the union's black-flag bike rally in Shillong on August 19, police said on Thursday.
Kharbani, the assistant general secretary, East circle, Nongmensong, was arrested on Thursday after his involvement in the violence was established, Vivek Syiem, the district police chief of East Khasi Hills, said.
Earlier, police arrested four KSU leaders, including KSU President Raymond Kharjana, Vice-President Pynkmenlang Sanmiet, General Secretary Reuben Najiar and assistant organising secretary Jeremiah Pohthmi, in connection with the vandalism and the assault on ...
