Mumbai, March 27 -- Even as the case involving self-styled godman Ashok Kharat remains fresh, another shocking incident has come to light. A 35-year-old woman has accused a self-proclaimed spiritual leader of rape after he allegedly convinced her that he was an incarnation of Lord Mahadev and she was his "Parvati." The accused, identified as Rishikesh Vaidya, has been booked in connection with the case, which reportedly took place in Vasai.

According to police, Rishikesh Vaidya, who heads an organization named "Aamchi Vasai," projected himself as a spiritual guru. He came in contact with the victim through Facebook and, exploiting her religious inclination, gradually gained her trust under the pretext of imparting spiritual guidance.
