Chennai, Aug. 29 -- Close on the heels of safe return of 21 tourists from the flood-hit Nepal, another batch of 39 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu who went to Kailash Manasorovar Yatra are reported safe in Tibet and efforts are underway to bring them back to India in the next 1-2 days.
The massive floods occurred at Bhotekoshi River due to a glacier burst and swept through several villages in Nepal's Rasuwa district on the Nepal-Tibet border.
According to reports received on Saturday, a group of 39 stranded pilgrims from Tamil Nadu has been confirmed safe.
All the 39 stranded tourists are expected to be brought from Tibet to Nepal on Sunday (August 30) afternoon en route to Kathmandu in the evening.
