Kakinada, July 10 -- Anganawadi workers owing allegiance to CITU affiliate Anganwadi workers and helpers union laid siege to the Collectorate here on Friday to mark the Anganwadi National Demands Day in support of their demand for wage increase and also implementation of welfare schemes for them.
They raised slogans demanding scrapping of Navachethana App and reduction of workload on them.
They raised slogans demanding payment of Rs.26,000 as minimum wage and implementing welfare schemes for Anganwadis as assured by the coalition government.
They also demanded implementation of PF, ESI facility and also pension.
