London, July 21 -- Addressing his cabinet for the first time, UK's newly elected Prime Minister Andy Burnham on Tuesday said that tackling the country's current cost of living crisis must become the government's central priority, urging ministers to explore "all possible ways" to ease financial pressures on households.

Addressing ministers after arriving to applause, Burnham said the government needed to deliver tangible improvements for families facing rising costs.
