Markapuram, March 26 -- In a ghastly road accident, 13 passengers were charred when the private travel bus they were travelling in collided with a tipper lorry at Rayavaram village in Markapuram district early Thursday.
Police said the Harikrishna private travel bus was going to Pamuru from Jagtial in Telangana. The bus collided with a tipper lorry on the highway and flames erupted immediately.
Police said that 10 passengers died instantaneously and three died while undergoing treatment in the GGH. As many as 30 passengers were travelling in the bus when the accident occurred, police sources said.
