Agartala, May 7 -- The Tripura government has suspended Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Gaurav Rabindra Wagh following grave accusations of corruption, money laundering, and a dramatic escape from police oversight.
Officials confirmed that disciplinary proceedings are being contemplated against Gaurav, who served as the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) for South Tripura district and joined the IFS in 2020. Exercising authority under the All India Services (Discipline & Appeal) Rules, 1969, the competent body issued his suspension order pending further investigation.
