Chandigarh, June 27 -- Amritsar Police on Saturday said it has busted a major cross-border arms smuggling module allegedly operating through drone drops, arresting four people and recovering 10 sophisticated pistols in a coordinated intelligence-led operation.
Addressing a press conference, Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said the recovered weapons included eight .30 bore pistols and two 9 mm pistols. Officials noted that some of the arms were of Chinese and Pakistani origin. A quantity of live cartridges was also seized during the operation.
