Chennai, Aug. 20 -- union Home Minister and senior BJP Leader Amit Shah met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK Founder C.Joseph Vijay ahead of the Southern Zonal Council (SZC) meeting at Kovalam near here on Thursday.
In a social media post, Amit Shah, tagging the photos of his meeting, said "met Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru C. Joseph Vijay in Chennai, ahead of the 31st Meeting of the Southern Zonal Council, to be held in Kovalam, Chengalpattu".
Vijay, who has been appointed Vice-Chairman of the Southern Zonal Council, welcomed Amit Shah at a star hotel in Mamallapuram. The meeting marked the first interaction between the two leaders since Vijay assumed office as Chief Minister.
