Kolkata, June 9 -- union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit West Bengal on June 13 to lay the foundation stone for a major dairy manufacturing project of Amul in Howrah's Sankrail, marking one of the largest private-sector investments in the state's dairy sector in recent years.
According to administrative sources, the Gujarat-based dairy giant is set to establish two large production facilities as part of a project involving an investment of around Rs 650 crore.
More than a hundred distinguished guests and dairy farmers are expected to attend the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
The project comes amid renewed efforts by the BJP-led state government to attract industrial investment to West Bengal.
