Agartala, May 26 -- The union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Tripura for a one-day visit on June 5, during which he is expected to evaluate security measures along the India-Bangladesh border, official sources said here on Tuesday.
His trip is likely to involve an assessment of how the border management systems are functioning, including inspecting the barbed-wire fencing at the international border. Tripura has an 856-km border with Bangladesh, making it a highly sensitive area that needs ongoing monitoring.
