Parmod KumarNew Delhi, Sept. 1 -- Amid a controversy over the functioning of the Acting Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court following three letters addressed to Chief Justice of India Surya Kant by Supreme Court judge Justice Sandeep Mehta, the Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal as Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.

At its meeting on August 31, the Collegium recommended the elevation of Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal, presently a judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, as Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court.
