Bhopal, March 19 -- Unidentified miscreants claiming links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly opened fire at a businessman's house in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh and demanded Rs 10 crore in extortion money via a social media post.
According to the police, the incident occurred in Bhilgaon village under Kasrawad police station limits. Police have registered a case and deployed security at the residence of trader Dilip Rathore after his son lodged a complaint in the matter.
As per Khargone SP Ravindra Verma, the case was lodged based on a complaint by Satyendra Rathore, son of Dilip Rathore, on Wednesday. He confirmed that a firing incident took place and said police are investigating all angles.
