Pathanamthitta, March 29 -- A 30-year-old man from Kalanjoor in this district of Kerala has alleged that he was forced to undergo the amputation of his leg due to serious lapses in medical treatment, raising concerns of negligence.
The complainant, Abhimanyu, who worked as an air-conditioner mechanic, met with an accident in December last year, during which he sustained a fracture to his leg.
He initially sought treatment at the Konni Medical College, where doctors reportedly diagnosed two fractures and advised that he undergo urgent surgery. He was subsequently referred to the Kottayam Medical College for further management.
