Prayagraj, Oct. 7 -- The Allahabad High Court has rejected the second bail plea of former MP Kapil Muni Karwaria, former MLC Suryabhan Karwaria and Ramchandra Tripathi alias Kallu, who are serving life sentences in the murder case of former SP MLA Jawahar Yadav alias Jawahar Pandit.
A division bench of Justice Salil Kumar Rai and Justice Arun Kumar Singh Deswal passed the order on Wednesday.
The accused had sought bail in their criminal appeals against their conviction in the case. The court rejected their second bail pleas.
Jawahar Pandit, the then Samajwadi Party MLA, was shot dead in broad daylight on August 13, 1996, in the Civil Lines area of Allahabad. He was allegedly targeted with a burst of fire from an AK-47.
