Prayagraj, July 30 -- The Allahabad High Court on Thursday granted an interim stay on the proceedings against cricketer Yash Dayal in the Ghaziabad trial court in connection with a rape charge.
The court ordered a stay on the summons issued by the magistrate and the entire judicial process until the next hearing.
This decision was delivered by a single bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar Pachori on Yash Dayal's petition, in which he challenged the police charge sheet and the trial court's cognizance order.
An FIR was lodged in July 2025, in Ghaziabad, in which a woman alleged that Yash Dayal had physical relations with her for several years under the pretext of marriage.
