Prayagraj, May 19 -- The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday granted conditional anticipatory bail to Altamas Khan, accused in the September 2025 violence and protests in Bareilly.
A single bench of Justice Ashutosh Srivastava issued the order.
The clashes occurred after a proposed "I Love Muhammad" rally, called by the Ittehad-e-Millat Council (IMC), led to confrontations, stone-pelting, and the use of petrol bombs against police forces in Bareilly on September 26, 2025.
Following the violence, an FIR was registered in the Kotwali police station area against 25 named and approximately 1,700 unidentified individuals.
