Prayagraj, Oct. 27 -- The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday admitted appeals filed by convicts Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla, who were sentenced to death by a trial court in the 'Blue Drum' murder case of Meerut involving the killing of Saurabh Rajput.
A division bench of Justice Salil Kumar Rai and Justice Padma Narayan Mishra heard the case and scheduled the next hearing for November 30.
Notably, the case, widely known as the 'blue drum' murder case, relates to the killing of Saurabh Rajput in the Brahmpuri police station area of Meerut. This case has triggered widespread outrage after his body was found concealed in a blue plastic drum filled with cement and concrete.
