Prayagraj, March 17 -- Allahabad High Court has sought details on 2026 Gram Panchayat election preparations from the UP State Election Commission.
A hearing was held at the Allahabad High Court on a petition filed by the petitioner, Imtiaz Hussain, on Tuesday.
The order was issued by a Division Bench comprising Justice Atul Sridharan and Justice Siddhartha Nandan.
In the petition filed before the Allahabad High Court, the petitioner sought a directive from the Court requiring the respondent-the District Panchayat-to place on record a detailed and time-bound schedule for completing the entire Panchayat election process well before the expiration of its current tenure.
