Prayagraj, March 28 -- Allahabad High Court has raised serious questions on the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government to seal a place of worship which was under construction in Muzaffarnagar. Hearing a case questioning the sealing of an under construction mosque, the HC asked the legal authority for sealing the place of worship by authorities.
The Court further enquired whether prior notice was served or an opportunity was given to the parties concerned to explain their position in the matter before sealing the mosque.
The Court directed the Government Counsel to appear before the Court at the next hearing with specific instructions from the State Government, accompanied by an affidavit.
