Bengaluru/New Delhi, March 17 -- Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday said the state will lead an all-party delegation to the Centre to push for resolution of key irrigation and inter-state water disputes, signalling political unity across party lines.

Following a high-level meeting with Members of Parliament, former ministers, and legal experts in New Delhi, Shivakumar said all 24 MPs who attended extended their support and agreed to work collectively in the interest of the state.

The delegation is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil to press for action on pending irrigation projects and water-sharing concerns.
