Bengaluru, Aug. 5 -- Women's organisations on Wednesday accused the Karnataka government of making a "political choice" to exclude women from power, saying the all-male Cabinet deprived the Congress of the moral authority to champion women's representation nationally.
In an open letter to Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Naveddu Nilladiddare, a network of women's organisations, feminists and civil society groups, condemned the complete absence of women in the newly expanded Council of Ministers, describing it as a "democratic deficit" and an exercise in "patriarchal power".
