Visakhapatnam, Aug. 20 -- The 61st All India Railway Ball Badminton Championship commenced at the Railway Ball Badminton Courts here on Thursday.
The three-day championship, being organised by the South Coast Railway Sports Association (SCORSA), Visakhapatnam Division, is being held upto August 22, with eight teams representing different Zonal Railways of Indian Railways participating in the tournament.
SCORSA President Pudi Hariprasad was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony, while Visakhapatnam Division and SCORSA President Lalit Bohra presided over the event.
The championship provides a platform for railway sportspersons from across the country to showcase their sporting skills, competitive spirit and commitment to excellence.
