Puducherry, April 8 -- Puducherry Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) P Jawahar on Wednesday said all arrangements for polling in 30 Assembly constituencies in the union Territory on Thursday has been completed.
He said of the total 294 candidates, whose fate would be sealed in EVMs tomorrow, 40 were women and the Election Commission of India has taken all steps to ensure free and fair polling.
Talking to newspersons here on Wednesday, Jawahar said polling will be held from 7 AM to 6 PM in as many as 1,099 polling booths of which 209 were identified as vulnerable and five critical.
The booths at Keezhoor, the one in V O C School here and in Thanthai Periyar school at Karaikal are unique booths.
