London, June 8 -- Alexandra Eala won her second WTA 125 title with victory over doubles partner Nikola Bartunkova in the Birmingham Open final.
Eala had to go the distance against the fifth-seeded Bartunkova on Sunday, coming back from a set down to prevail 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 for her first triumph since winning the Guadalajara Open last year, which is also a 125 event.
The 21-year-old Eala was the top seed here. The world No. 37 from the Philippines dropped only two sets throughout the tournament.
In the final game, Eala saved three break points before sealing the win in a punishing 2 hours, 38 minutes, accoeding to olympics.com.
