Akola, April 24 -- : Akola Police have registered an FIR against a self-styled godman for allegedly endangering the lives of newborns and minors through hazardous practices performed in the name of healing and black magic, officials said on Friday.
The action was initiated by Murtizapur rural police following a complaint lodged by a member of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), who flagged a viral social media video showing the accused conducting a 'darbar'.
According to the complaint, the man was seen swinging small children by holding their clothes with his teeth, an act described as dangerous, inhuman, and posing a serious threat to the safety and lives of the minors involved.
