New Delhi, July 18 -- Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday strongly condemned the early morning removal of activist Sonam Wangchuk from the site of his indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar, describing the police action as "highly condemnable" and demanding that his medical treatment be conducted under judicial supervision.
Wangchuk, who was on the 21st day of his hunger strike against alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, was removed by Delhi Police from the protest site early on Saturday and taken to Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) and Safdarjung Hospital.
