Lucknow, Oct. 1 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday alleged that people in the country and in Uttar Pradesh were going through a "BJP Emergency", claiming that the period of alleged oppression of the PDA - backward classes, Dalits and minorities- could be described as an Emergency.

" As a period of oppression against the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) class will truly be called an Emergency,"he said while addressing a press conference in Lucknow and accused the BJP government of failing to address unemployment and corruption.
