New Delhi, April 16 -- A ground incident involving aircraft of Akasa Air and SpiceJet was reported on Thursday at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
According to officials, the incident occurred during taxiing in the parking area when a SpiceJet Boeing 737-700 aircraft collided with an Akasa Air flight.
The impact led to damage to the right winglet of the SpiceJet aircraft, while the left-hand horizontal stabilizer of the Akasa Air plane was also affected.
A spokesperson for SpiceJet confirmed that the aircraft has been grounded in Delhi following the incident and will not be operated until necessary inspections and repairs are completed.
