Hyderabad, May 4 -- The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) Telangana State Council has strongly opposed the Railway Board's "Manpower Rationalisation 2026-27" policy, alleging it will severely impact employment opportunities for youth.
At a meeting held in Himayat Nagar on Monday, AIYF leaders, including State President Vali Ullah Quadri and General Secretary Kalluru Dharmendra, criticised the proposed 2 per cent reduction in railway posts-around 29,608 jobs-despite lakhs of existing vacancies. They claimed the move would further shrink employment prospects and affect public safety due to staff shortages.
