Hyderabad, May 1 -- A massive rally and public meeting were organised in the city on the occasion of May Day by the AITUC, with CPI State Secretary and MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao stating that the "Red Flag remains the only ray of hope amid growing global inequalities."The rally commenced from the AITUC State office in Himayat Nagar and culminated at the CPI State office, Makhdoom Bhavan, where a protest meeting was held. Addressing the gathering, Sambasiva Rao said workers are the backbone of society and emphasised the role of Communist ideology in safeguarding their welfare.
