Bengaluru, June 20 -- Alleged misuse of funds under Karnataka's flagship Grihalakshmi scheme through Airtel Payments Bank-linked accounts has prompted the state government to tighten scrutiny of welfare disbursements, with Chief Minister DK Shivakumar directing officials to immediately plug loopholes and prevent diversion of benefits.
The issue came up during a review meeting on the implementation of the state's guarantee schemes chaired by Shivakumar at Vidhana Soudha on Saturday.
