New Delhi, June 1 -- Air Marshal Tarun Chaudhry today assumed charge as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Indian Air Force's Central Air Command, succeeding Air Marshal Balakrishnan Manikantan, who retired on May 31 after four decades of service.
Commissioned into the fighter stream of the IAF in December 1989, Air Marshal Chaudhry brings with him more than 36 years of operational, staff and diplomatic experience. He is an alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, College of Air Warfare and National Defence College.
