New Delhi, May 27 -- An Air India flight from New Delhi to San Francisco on Wednesday had to return midway back to Delhi after facing a technical issue, and landed safely.
According to a statement by the air carrier, "Flight AI173 from Delhi to San Francisco on 27 May has returned to Delhi due to a technical issue in accordance with the laid down procedures."The airline informed that the aircraft landed safely, and will undergo a proper technical inspection in accordance with Air India's safety standards.
The airline has expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to the passengers, while they also assured of making alternative arrangements for them, so they could fly to their destination as soon as possible.
