Hyderabad, May 24 -- Doctors at the Asian Institute of Nephrology & Urology (AINU Hospitals), Banjara Hills, successfully removed a massive 20-cm pumpkin-sized kidney tumour from a 53-year-old man from Kurnool, saving his life after a complex surgery, a hospital statement on Sunday said.
The patient, identified as P Mabu Khan, was admitted on April 18, 2026, with severe abdominal swelling, weakness and loss of appetite.
Medical examinations revealed a huge tumour in the right kidney, occupying almost the entire right side of the abdomen and displacing nearby organs.
