Panchkula/New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- The All India NPS Employees Federation (AINPSEF) has sought the urgent intervention of union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over the non-payment of pensions to hundreds of retired employees and teachers of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi who opted for the Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) within the prescribed period.
In a press statement issued here today, AINPSEF National President Dr Manjeet Singh Patel said the federation had drawn the Finance Minister's attention to the "extremely serious and sensitive" issue being faced by retired Delhi Government employees, including those who served under the Directorate of Education and other departments.
