Hyderabad, March 21 -- The All India Newspaper Employees Federation (AINEF) on Saturday urged the Delhi Land and Development Department to immediately withdraw its order against the United News of India (UNI) and grant time to the premier national news agency.
UNI has moved the court challenging the Land and Development Office (L&DO) orders issued between March 20 and 23 cancelling the allotment of land granted to it in 1979 under the union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
The agency argued that delays in construction, cited as the reason for cancellation, were due to financial constraints and delays in obtaining necessary approvals as per departmental specifications.
