Lucknow/ Bahriach, June 15 -- AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has indicated that his party may consider entering into a pre-poll alliance for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections with the aim of defeating the BJP.
Though he did not name any party with whom the AIMIM could join hands for the UP polls but indicated that talks are underway.
The AIMIM has launched its election campaign from Bahraich on Sunday with a big rally by Owaisi in the Matera assembly segment. He also announced the party's first candidate, UP president Shaukat Ali.
