Patna, June 22 -- To ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims undertaking the challenging spiritual journey of Amarnath, AIIMS Patna will contribute its medical expertise by deputing a team of five doctors to provide healthcare services to pilgrims during the Yatra.
Executive Director of AIIMS Patna, Prof. (Brig.) Dr. Raju Agarwal said here today that the annual Amarnath Yatra is scheduled to commence on July 3, the Government of India has put in place an extensive healthcare support system comprising health camps, medical clinics, intensive care units (ICUs), emergency medical services, surgical and orthopaedic facilities and multiple oxygen centres along the pilgrimage route.
