Patna, June 27 -- In a landmark achievement for indigenous medical innovation and neurosurgical advancement, AIIMS Patna has developed a novel ultra-lightweight brain retraction device, the "Saraj Retractor," designed to simplify complex brain tumour surgeries and enhance surgical precision.
Additional Professor, Department of Neurosurgery, AIIMS Patna Dr. Saraj Kumar Singh who developed the device said here on Saturday that design registration and trademark protection has been done under the banner of AIIMS Patna.
He said that the brain retractors are indispensable instruments in neurosurgery, enabling surgeons to gently hold and retract delicate brain tissue to access deep seated tumours and critical intracranial structures.
