Patna, Aug. 25 -- AIIMS Patna has achieved a major milestone in advanced and minimally invasive spine surgery, earning an official entry in the Limca Book of Records for the successful removal of an exceptionally large 8 cm herniated disc in a single piece through endoscopic spine surgery.
The Executive Director, AIIMS Patna, Prof (Brig) Dr Raju Agarwal, said here on Tuesday that the achievement is being recognised as a significant milestone in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery and makes AIIMS Patna the first institute in India to achieve this distinction for such a procedure.
