New Delhi, Aug. 17 -- AIIMS Delhi has launched a structured retina training programme to boost the diagnosis and management of retinal diseases by training more than 100 ophthalmologists from the public health system over the next three years.

"The need for strengthening retinal care capabilities is underscored by gaps in the availability of specialised expertise," said Dr Radhika Tandon, Chief of the Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences (RPC), AIIMS, at the launch of the Modulated Retina Training Program on Monday.
