Mumbai, Sept. 11 -- Artificial intelligence has dramatically lowered the cost of fraud attacks, while the rapid expansion of real-time payment systems is shrinking the window for banks and financial institutions to detect and stop them, according to a new global fraud intelligence report by Bureau.
The Bureau Global Fraud Intelligence Report 2026, released at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, puts the scale of the challenge in stark terms: global fraud losses touched USD 442 billion in 2025, while fraud networks are increasingly operating across institutions, sectors and geographies.
