Hyderabad, July 16 -- Telangana Agriculture, Cooperation, Marketing and Handlooms & Textiles Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Thursday briefed a high-level Iranian delegation on the state's initiatives to strengthen the cooperative sector and its role in promoting rural development and farmer welfare.
The Minister, along with Mines and Geology Minister Vivek Venkataswamy, met the delegation led by Iran's Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, H.E. Dr Meidari, at the Secretariat.
The delegation also included Deputy Minister for Cooperatives Dr Sarfi, Iran's Ambassador to India Dr Mohammad Fath Ali, Consul General in Hyderabad Hamid Ahmadiyeh, Vice Consul Mohsin Moghaddami and representatives of the Iranian government.
