Shimla, June 8 -- After consolidating its victory in three of the four Municipal Corporations that went to polls recently, the BJP on Monday appointed senior leaders as observers for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections in Mandi, Dharamshala, and Solan to oversee the process and coordinate with elected councillors.

The appointments were announced through official orders issued by BJP Himachal Pradesh president Rajeev Bindal.

The party said the move was aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of the elections and effective coordination between the organisation and newly elected councillors.
